AHHHHHHHH...a little quiet time...

Yes, at our house we definately DO Quiet Time. It is that most magical part of the day where the girlies scurry around after completing schooltime to gather all their most favorite things to do in a basket. They then take the baskets to their room (Lili) and to my room (Aly). For one whole blessed hour they must stay in their rooms doing their quiet activity (no electronics) and just BE for a bit. Everyone is out of everyone's hair for an hour, nothing is being demanded of me for one hour, my name isn't called for an hour, the girls get some time to decompress and re-group for an hour and when it is all over...all is right with the world again!!! I LOVE IT!!!! I need it as much as they do I believe!!!

Anyway, I slipped into their rooms and took a picture...thought you might like to see what Quiet is like at our home....

Happy Monday ya'll!!

We do quiet time at our house, too. I am cruel, though, since ours lasts for 90 minutes.

My quiet time is in the morning when I make E'beth go back to sleep in my bed after John leaves for school .. sometimes it lasts a nice while!! ahhh. I join her in 'quiettime' :) :)

So when can I start having quiet time with my Lilli? She doesn't understand what "using her indoor voice" is yet... but we're working on it!

Lilli has her new "Ni Hao Y'all" shirt on today on our blog... I gave you the credit in my post!
Love ya,

We still get nap time at our house, but I'll have to steal that idea for later. :-)

Ah, quiet time. How does any mother survive without it? :o)

Ooh, love the basket idea! Yes, quiet time is a must for homeschoolers, in my opinion. All 4 of us take 2 hours apart a day...DREAMY! Really helps us get along better than when were are together 24x7. Even my 10 & 7 year olds take it! Loved the pics. Come say hi to us soon, eh? Miss ya! Hugs to you, Amy
